From note to reel in 20 minutes: working workflow

You have a raw idea in your notes. In 20 minutes — a ready reel with text, structure, and visuals. Here’s a specific pipeline without fluff.

TL;DR Note → Claude creates the hook + script → you adapt the text to your style → shoot or select B-roll → CapCut adds subtitles → publish. 20 minutes instead of two hours.

Why most notes remain just notes

You see something interesting, jot down an idea, open a file with ideas — and there are already 47 unrealized drafts. The problem isn’t a lack of ideas. The problem is the distance between the thought and the finished post.

Previously, this distance was huge: you had to write a script, choose a structure for the video and text, come up with a hook, shoot, edit, add subtitles, write a caption. Two to three hours for one reel. At this rate, 47 notes will remain notes forever.

AI reduces this distance to 20 minutes. Here’s how it works in practice — no theory, just steps.

Pipeline: 5 steps

1
Note — raw material

No need to polish anything. Take it as it is: a couple of sentences, a random thought, a surprising fact, or a conclusion from your own experience.

2
Claude creates the hook and script

Insert the note into Claude with the prompt below. Get a ready script for 30–60 seconds with a hook, main part, and call to action.

3
Adapt the text to your style

Claude also creates text for the caption. Read it aloud — if it doesn’t sound like you, say ‘rewrite in a more conversational style’ and you’ll get a second option.

4
Shoot or select B-roll

Talking head, screencast, slides — whatever fits the format. To start, a phone and a neutral background are enough.

5
CapCut — subtitles and publication

Upload the video, click auto-subtitles, check, add music. Export and publish.

Prompt for the reel script

Here’s my raw note: [insert note text] Make a script for a reel lasting 45–60 seconds. Structure: - Hook (first 3 seconds): a sharp question or statement that stops the scroll - Main part: 2–3 specific points without fluff - Conclusion: one simple call to action Tone: conversational, informal, without clichés. Write like a real person. After the script — write the caption text for the post (up to 500 characters).

How to maintain your voice

The main fear when working with AI for content is losing your voice, becoming ‘like everyone else’. This can be solved in one step: give Claude 3–5 examples of your texts at the beginning of the dialogue and ask it to ‘write in the same style’.

Here are examples of my texts: [text 1] [text 2] [text 3] Remember my style: tone, sentence length, typical techniques. From now on, I’ll provide notes — write scripts in the same voice.

After this setup, Claude keeps your voice within a single dialogue. For a new dialogue — repeat or save the system prompt once and copy it to the beginning of each session.

Repurposing: one note — five formats

From one strong note, you can create: a reel, carousel, post, email, Stories. All through one dialogue with Claude. Ask to adapt the script for each format — you'll get five pieces of content in 30 minutes instead of five hours of work.

Especially effective with lengthy notes. Ask Claude to first highlight the three strongest ideas, then create scripts one by one. One idea — one reel. From a note page — 3–4 separate videos for two weeks ahead.

FAQ

How to quickly create a reel from a text note?

Insert the note into Claude with a prompt for the script — you'll get a structure for 45–60 seconds. Then use CapCut for editing and subtitles. The whole cycle takes 20–30 minutes.

Which AI is better for creating reel scripts?

Claude structures the script well with a hook and call to action. ChatGPT is faster on short iterations. Both are suitable — the difference is in the details of working with long context.

Can the creation of reels be fully automated?

Partially. Script, text, subtitles — can be automated well. Shooting and final editing still require human involvement. The preparation stage is reduced from 2 hours to 20 minutes.

How to maintain your voice in AI content?

Give Claude a few examples of your texts at the beginning of the dialogue. Ask to 'write in the same style.' Read the result aloud — if it doesn't sound like you, iterate until you achieve the desired tone.

How much time does this workflow save per week?

When producing 5 reels a week, the savings range from 5 to 8 hours. The main savings are in the script writing and text adaptation for each publication format.
